Wings Over Gatineau Airshow Returns Next Weekend!

While planning continues for this year’s Fly Day at the Ottawa Flying Club on Saturday, September 29th, Vintage Wings of Canada is once again holding the Wings Over Gatineau Airshow next weekend.  With its increasing popularity among aviation enthusiasts of all ages in the national capital region, this year’s show is being held on both Saturday and Sunday.

The 2012 edition features breathtaking aerial demonstrations by the famed Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the CF-18 Demo Team, the F-86 Golden Hawk Sabre, and wing-walking phenom Carol Pilon. There will be legendary Second World War aircraft such as the Spitfire, the FG-1D Corsair, the Avro Lancaster bomber, and more than 100, beautifully-restored, vintage aircraft from Canada and the United States.

There’s also a special focus on Warbirds of the Med, marking the 70th anniversary of many of the major air and land battles in and around the Mediterranean Sea during the Second World War.
