Fly Day 2011 A Success!

Fly Day 2011 saw over 200 people brave the cold and wind to have an opportunity to see the capital from a small airplane. For those who did, the experience certainly provided wonderful memories.

Many thanks to the pilots from the Ottawa Flying Club, the Rockcliffe Flying Club and other local airports, the ground volunteers and Rotarians who helped make this year’s Fly Day a success.

Special thanks to the Vintage Wings of Canada pilots who brought their “yellow wings” vintage aircraft to celebrate the heritage of Canadian aviation.

And thank you to those who participated. Funds raised from Fly Day go to support the Ottawa Rotary Home – a very worthy cause. We look forward to seeing you at Fly Day 2012.
